Dr. Patrick R. Young is an experienced mental performance consultant and
accomplished academic with a robust background in sport, exercise, and
performance psychology. He is passionate about providing individuals with
the mental tools for success, and aims to help those from any
performance-based area (sport, business, academics, gaming, first-
responders, tactical professionals, etc.) succeed and have fun doing it!
Patrick has provided executive coaching and leadership training for
business professionals, and mental skills training for Olympic athletes,
professional athletes, NCAA Division I and II athletes, junior college
athletes, and youth athletes of all ages. Patrick is also a Certified Mental
Performance Consultant (CMPC #597) within the Association for Applied
Sport Psychology (AASP), which is the gold standard for certification in the
field of sport, exercise, and performance psychology. Besides consulting
with athletes, business professionals and other performers, he is a
professor of psychology and routinely contributes to the field of
sport/performance psychology through public speaking engagements,
peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, and as an active
member of professional organizations such as the Association for Applied
Sport Psychology and the American Psychological Association.
